DICHOTOMY: WAITING [A Poem by Damon Paul Winters]

Waiting is a major part of our lives; therefore, let’s determine to do it well.

DICHOTOMY: WAITING by Damon Paul Winters

Waiting…for inspiration…

I’m inspired to wait longer.

Waiting…for love…

I think there’s a song there.

Waiting…to be older…

Built on childish trust.

Waiting…in line…

A smartphone’s a must.

Waiting…to be married…

I can’t conceal my smile.

Waiting…for the last out…

Sure can take a while.

Waiting…and thinking…

I think I’ll wait some more.

Waiting…at the stoplight…

Patience is a chore.

Waiting…for an apology…

An exercise in futility.

Waiting…on my spouse…

Stretches my ability.

Waiting…on hope…

I hope it’s worth the wait.

Waiting…to act…

Can be a big mistake.

Waiting…for courage…

To put my ideas into action!
